Background
In 2022, CLARB conducted a Job/Task Analysis (JTA) which is a scientific study of the profession that ensures the content of the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E) remains legally defensible and relevant. The JTA results are also used to defend the legal scope of landscape architectural practice.
The results of the survey determine the tasks that are performed most often, are most important and subsequently instill the knowledge required at the initial point of licensure; thus, the survey results form the basis of the L.A.R.E. View the final report from the 2022 JTA.
The findings from this JTA resulted in changes to the content and structure of the L.A.R.E., effective with the December 2023 administration.
