Empowering Opportunity Summit

Why attend?
  • Enhancing standards: Adoption and implementation of the CLARB Uniform Standard breaks down barriers to licensure. The Uniform Standard aims to make licensure more equitable and accessible, creating new opportunities for a diverse and inclusive community of professionals.
  • Empowering stakeholders: By working together, ASLA Chapters and CLARB Member Boards can drive essential policy changes, like the Uniform Standard, that improve landscape architecture licensure.
  • Educating others: Your participation is crucial in defending and shaping landscape architecture regulation for the future. Be a part of the conversation that will set the stage for a more inclusive, accessible and dynamic licensure system.
Benefits
  • Collaborative decision-making: Forge connections, share insights, and engage in meaningful discussions to collectively implement licensure policy changes.
  • Implementing change: Understand the CLARB Uniform Standard and strategize how to take these changes back to your state or province.
  • Networking and education: Build relationships with like-minded professionals and leaders passionate about advancing landscape architecture licensure.

Join ASLA chapters and CLARB Member Boards as we strategize, share insights and collectively shape the future of landscape architecture licensure.

Plan your trip

Welcome to Buffalo-Niagara

What kind of place is Buffalo, NY? It’s fun, historical, delicious, outdoorsy, sports-loving, diverse, and creative. It’s home to remarkable art and music and architecture. And did we mention it’s an easy, welcoming, and affordable place to visit? If this sounds unexpectedly great, that’s because that’s exactly what Buffalo is.

Bootstrapping locals, millennial entrepreneurs and recently resettled immigrants have refreshed Buffalo like a cool Lake Erie breeze. They’ve transformed once-neglected architectural landmarks into tourist attractions and hotels, turned a formerly industrial waterfront into a haven for kayaking, grain silo zip lining and rock climbing; splashed colorful murals on buildings across the city and infused a regional cuisine previously known only for deep fried drumsticks and flats with flavors from around the world.
